"I hope the fans blow up the Wanda Metropolitano, that it explodes," said Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone at the news conference following his side's 1-1 Europa League semifinal first-leg draw at Arsenal last week. "There must be positive energy to accompany these kids. I get goosebumps thinking of how next Thursday could be." Premier League trio Everton, Leicester and Burnley are eyeing a move for Egypt international forward Mahmoud Hassan, sources have told ESPN FC.
Hassan, who is nicknamed "Trezeguet" after the former French striker David Trezeguet, has impressed this season on loan at Turkish side Kasimpasa from Anderlecht.
The 23-year-old has scored 14 goals and laid on five assists for Kasimpasa so far this season and his performances have brought him to the attention of several clubs across Europe.
Everton, Leicester and Burnley have sent scouts to watch Hassan in action and they are considering moves for him as they look to bolster their attacking options for next season.
Hassan has just over a year to run on his contract at Anderlecht and his suitors feel they could land him for a bargain price in this summer's transfer window.
Hassan is set to feature at this summer's World Cup in Russia for Egypt with the left-sided winger playing a key role in the qualification for the finals in Russia.
Hassan plays on the opposite flank of Liverpool superstar Mohammed Salah for the Egyptian national team and if he impresses at the World Cup he could follow his countryman to the Premier League this summer.
